	Transformer and SWIFT MT/MX Interoperability: This paper covers the area that every financial institution currently using SWIFT messaging will have to address. Over the coming years there will be a gradual migration from the traditional (ISO 15022) MT message series to the new (ISO 20022) MX series. This paper discusses some of the issues that need to be considered by institutions in dealing with these formats and outlines ways in which the challenges can be minimised and controlled within an organisation. In particular the reader will learn the history of message standards that leads to the current position; the issues raised by the coexistence of these multiple standards; the pros and cons of using SWIFT published and industry standard (XSLT) technology to resolve these issues and, finally, the reasons why an approach based round Transformer provides the necessary strategic solution.
	Transformer and SWIFT MT Messages: Messaging issues are a constant challenge to financial institutions and SWIFT messaging generally proves a challenge on most projects. Specification, development, testing, deployment and ongoing maintenance each have their own issues. 	Transformer and Generic non-XML Message Formats: As well as dealing with industry standard libraries such as SWIFT FIN, FIX, TRAX and the complexities of XML messages every institution has a large number of systems using proprietary/legacy formats. These include: Fixed width messages where each field has a known width; formats generally termed as CSV or Comma Separated Value (although the exact format may vary) and other conventions for tagging, delimiting or separating fields or data items. Sometimes standards are mixed and one has to deal e.g. with a CSV section within a fixed width message. This white paper examines the issues associated with such formats and highlights issues as well as illustrating how they are solved as part of Transformer implementations. This gives the reader and understanding of the issues, how they are resolved by Transformer and an appreciation of how well existing technology is at dealing with the challenges.
	Message Diversity: Financial Messaging Standards - An Architectural Perspective: This white paper provides the reader with an overview of the concepts that apply when working with financial messaging standards. These concepts are related to practical situations designed to illustrate the benefits that can be gained by taking advantage of ideas such as re-use and dictionary based approaches. This paper also considers technical architectures and deployment models. There is no particular product emphasis in this paper.
